Group meets to continue to address topics of need for
autistic population. We will need your support with
legislators to help get Arkansas where it needs to be with
respect to treatment and resources.
If you are wondering who your State
Senators/Representatives are, click on this link
to the ARKANSAS SENATOR AND
REPRESENTATIVE SEARCH.
You can contact your Senator/Representative to
urge them to pass legislation that will benefit all
individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Summary
Bill HR 2370 would give tax advantages.
The Financial Security Accounts for Individuals with
Disabilities Act, if passed, would allow families to
create a tax-deferred savings plan for their loved
ones with a disability. The bill would allow flexibility
in establishing an account and transferring funds,
protability on a state-to-state level and some
measure of financial security.
Currently the bill has 68 sponsors but needs more to
move forward. Write, call or email your
representative to urge him/her to sponsor HR 2370.

Petition to extend the statute of limitations on NVICP
We demand Congress take steps to extend the statute of limitations to
allow all children affected by vaccine induced Autism to file in the
National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP). We demand
the
right to file a lawsuit until our children become an adult.
Please sign this petition so that we may get justice for our children
who have no voice.

The next Legislative session for the Arkansas General Assembly is right around the corner
and itʼs time to start asking for the attention of the Legislators and the Governor now. It
would help if they had a way to see just how many families in Arkansas are affected by
autism.
So, what I would like to do is assemble a binder filled with stories and pictures of families
from around the state. The information needed would be:
1. Your name
2. Address/Phone or if you prefer just the City/County where you live
3. Your familyʼs story (just speak from your heart) about how autism has affected you.
4. A picture of your family
Try to fit it on an 8 ½ X 11 piece of paper, and either mail it or email it to me (my address and
phone # is below)
We are planning to schedule meetings with various Legislative committees and with the
Governor, and we need as many families to attend those meetings as we can get. I will send
information about these meetings as soon as they are scheduled.
Please help if you can.
Sincerely,
Dianna Varady, 2001 Pershing Circle Drive, Suite 300, North Little Rock, AR 72114
