Arkansas Autistic Children’s Support Group (a.k.a. H.E.A.R.) successfully
registered as a non-profit agency in July 2006. We are presently in the
process of filing for 501(c)3 (tax-exempt) status, and intend to complete the
paperwork before the end of the year, as filing fees will double in January.
Once our 501(c)3 status is approved, it will retroactively cover any donations
made, dating back to our date of incorporation in July ‘06.

Several upcoming H.E.A.R. projects will require funding.

Thus far, all expenses for running this group have been covered by in-kind
donated services, or contributions by Board members and other parents, who
believe strongly in the mission and vision of this organization. We have all
worked very hard to build this support group, and are proud of what we have
accomplished over the past year. There still remains a lot to be done,
however, and we look forward to continuing our effort to build this network of
support, education, advocacy and empowerment. We are excited about all the
future holds….. for our children, for our community, and for ourselves as well.
We invite you all to be a part of this worthy endeavor, through contributions of
time, money, services or goods. With 1 in 150 children (1 in 145 in Arkansas)
being diagnosed with autism, we are dealing with a national crisis. You are
donating to a truly worthy cause. Thank you so much for your kindness and
generosity!
